Childcare Opportunities within
Wythenshawe Community Initiative

 Wythenshawe Community Initiative (WCI) prides itself on offering excellent quality childcare to a variety of organisation and agencies cross Manchester. We aim to meet the needs of both the children and families attending sessions and of the service purchaser who has organised the crèche.
To help us achieve this we are always looking for high calibre staff to run our crèches. Our childcare staff come a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of skills and experience – not always directly related to childcare. The one thing they all have in common however is a commitment to providing the best possible experience for the children in our care.

 PAID POSITIONS

Creche Leaders
Role summary: To take a lead on mobile crèche sessions across South Manchester, ensuring crèches run to our quality standards and policies and procedures are followed throughout.
Perfect if: You are an experienced childcare worker, qualified to Level 3 or above (or currently working towards this) and would like to get some leadership experience

Creche Workers
Role summary: To deliver mobile crèche sessions across South Manchester including delivering planned activities, supporting children and accurately completing relevant paperwork. 
Perfect if: You are an experienced childcare worker, preferably qualified to Level 2 (or currently working towards this) and would like to gain more varied childcare experience.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Both the above roles are available in a volunteer capacity. In addition we have the following role which can act as a ‘stepping stone’ into childcare as a career:

Childcare Assistant
Role summary: To support childcare staff in the delivery of childcare sessions – either within mobile crèche or within one of our fixed provisions.
Perfect if: You are passionate about working with children and want to try it out but have no qualifications or experience.
